About Chad
School Leadership & Safety Consultant & Trainer
Chad Smith is a lead educator in the trenches who can come to your school or district and with fresh innovative eyes help you move the ball forward and raise the bar. Chad brings over two and a half decades of expertise in safety consultancy, specializing in helping schools create safer environments for students and staff through proactive strategies and tailored training programs. His experience comes from a background of working for the Walt Disney Company in guest relations and 26 years in education at the public and private levels. Chad has served as a district cabinet member for over 6,000 public school students, a principal at elementary and assistant principal a high school and middle school. He has also served as head of a Christian school. These in the trench experiences will make him relatable to the challenges that school face on a daily basis.
Mr. Smith has his Bachelors of Arts from Purdue University and his Master of Education from Indiana Wesleyan University.

Chad Smith has dedicated his career to enhancing safety in educational settings. Starting as a district safety officer, he quickly rose to become a trusted consultant for schools across the region. His work focuses on creating comprehensive safety plans that address modern challenges like bullying, emergency preparedness, and behavioral threat assessments.
Chad’s philosophy is straightforward: Safe schools foster better learning. By prioritizing prevention, customized safety plans, and community involvement, John has helped numerous schools reduce incidents and build trust among parents, students, and staff.
